Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist performs various accounting, office, and clerical duties related to the operation of the branch, in accordance with standard procedures, with minimal supervision. *Prepares and posts journal entries, special bills, and daily bank deposits.

• Creates and posts invoices, which includes profitability analysis, vendor rebate accruals, commissions, etc. Compiles data and maintains appropriate sales records and reports.
• Scans documents for use by Corporate offices.
• Assists with approving and setting up vendors, coding and approving purchase orders within MediusFlow, tax refunds, and customer exemptions. 
• Coordinates, performs, and/or documents the collection of accounts receivable and past due accounts. Prepares account analysis and reconciliations and researches outstanding items.
• Answers and routes incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Completes title reassignments and related state forms, assists with title transfer process, and researches and resolves title issues.
• Maintains inventory including purchasing, transfers, and inventory cost. Prepares and reviews forms and other documentation related to vehicle sales tax and FET reporting.

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and proficient computer skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Requires excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Prefer college degree, but equivalent experience and demonstrated success may be substituted for degree.
