Foreman
SUMMARY OF POSITION You will be responsible for managing multiple employees with a strong desire for high quality work. You will be a coach and a team leader while maintaining quality control, executing work orders, and communicating with clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure work is being performed in adherence with safety policies and procedures, always placing safety as the number one priority
Safely operate basic equipment
Handle creation of job duties and delegate tasks to construction workers
Create and monitor schedules for each member of your crew
Ensure accuracy of work, making sure that time efficiency is taken into account
Ensure work sites are cleaned and cleared of any hazardous materials prior to the beginning of a project
Properly train crew to perform tasks assigned to them correctly, safely, and efficiently
Perform inspections to ensure the crew’s performance is up to the set standards
Ensure that all materials, supplies, tools, and equipment are procured in a time efficient manner
Monitor daily procedures to ensure that proper quality is maintained and that schedules are being followed
Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner
Manage multiple employees and create a strong desire for high quality work among your assigned crew
Able to interpret and execute work orders designed for a responsible one to two man operation
Operation of lawn equipment, such as mowers, weed whips, edgers, blowers, chain and pole saws, pruners, etc.
Remain accountable for tools used and ensure that tools are taken care of by keeping track of their whereabouts as well as handling them with care before, during, and after use
Ensure the removal of trash and/or debris from site
Professionally lead crew to install projects in a high quality manner
Communicate progress and needs for projects with project manager
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK CONDITIONS
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to work in close contact with power equipment and noise associated with such equipment
Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks
Ability to stand, walk, and sit unassisted for up to 12 hours per day
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
Ability to work 50-65 hours per week through peak season
Ability to work up to 6 days per week
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
Must possess a clean MVR
Must be able to obtain appropriate licensure as directed by governing agencies within 60 days of hire
Must be able to read and write in English
