Mundo Verde Montessori is looking to add a new team member to join our community. The Guide's responsibilities include an ongoing collaboration with Academic Director on lesson plan ideas and presentations, assessing children's individual needs, and communicating those needs to the parents as required. You should also help maintain the nurturing, stimulating connection with each and every student.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Spanish Immersion preschool, you must be an excellent Spanish speaker and role model caregiver. You are indispensable to our program and therefore need to be refreshed, prepared, energized, and relaxed to guide and respond to the development of our children

Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn in the classroom environment.
Preparing lessons, independent learning exercises, and materials as needed by the lead teacher.
Maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.
Setting an excellent example for students by instilling good values like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
Monitoring and assessing student progress.
Ensuring classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working condition.
Participating in school activities / Attend all faculty meetings and scheduled staff events
Follow COVID-19 school protocols to maintain a safe environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Native in Spanish or native-like fluency - FLUENT IN ENGLISH (written and oral)
Any of the following:
Certificate in Early Childhood Education
Prior experience in a childcare center (minimum 2 years)
College coursework
Montessori, Waldorf, or Reggio Emilia experience
Willing to pursue and complete Montessori Certification.
An ability to teach groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities.
Ability to spend 100% of work time standing or moving about classrooms.
Physical activities include bending stooping, lifting, climbing, carrying, walking, and/or reaching frequently.
Patience and excellent observational, communication, and diagnostic skills.
The ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and respect.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
