You are the dynamic, passionate Director of Nursing for Primary Care we are looking for you. The Director of Nursing Services works in collaboration with other directors and has oversight of Meridian Health Services clinical and infection control programs, with direct administrative/clinical management for designated service locations. This position will develop, implement, and coordinate processes, systems, and compliance measures to ensure quality, consistency and continuity for all clinical services within Meridian Health Services and coordinates oversight of infection control for all of Meridian Health Services (MHS), with primary responsibility being to prevent disease or injury by developing and implementing best practices and assuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations governing health and safety. This position also provides oversight for compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory body standards, and center policies and procedures.

Director of Nursing Key Functions:

Infection Control Functions:

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Infection Control (IC) Standards of The Joint Commission, DMHA, OSHA, and MHS policies and procedures. This includes serving on the center’s Joint Commission workgroup(s).
  • Oversees regular IC audit and surveillance activities at each site to ensure compliance. Identifies gaps and risks. Responsible to recommend/coordinate corrective action for any deficiencies with staff and management identified during an audit.

Medication Management Functions :

  • In conjunction with the nursing leadership team, identifies and oversees development of medication related skill building competency assessments and new trainings as needed.

Point-of Care Testing (CLIA) Functions :

  • Oversees the CLIA certificate/waiver.

Supervisory Functions:

  • Provide administrative/clinical leadership for nursing staff at designated services locations including but not limited to;
  • development and management of operating budgets, marketing and referral development
  • compliance with documentation timelines, increasing utilization to meet patient needs,
  • compliance with client satisfaction survey processes
  • resolving personnel performance issues,
  • resolving client complaints,
  • completing reports,
  • ensuring staff compliance with time cards and work schedules
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees, performance appraisals and addressing complaints.

We are seeking Director of Nursing candidates with the following qualities:

  • RN license in the state of Indiana
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of nursing leadership required from an accredited school of nursing; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • CPR qualifications.
  • Valid driver’s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required
