Description/Qualifications

Become a success story within our Fabrication Dept.

Hours: Monday thru Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm

Pay: $20.00/HR-$30.00/HR

Responsibility for the following areas:

Safely and properly run CO2 laser using proper beam alignment procedures.

Monitor and maintain lens to lengthen lifespan.

Redirect beam focal point and understand its relation to material type and thickness.

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.

Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor.

Perform inspection of lasered products (including documentation of results).

Complete and maintain paperwork for parts, logging accurate record keeping information.

Read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use measuring tools.

Operate forklift as necessary.

Trouble shoot poor cut quality and adjust machine settings to maintain optimal cut quality on all materials.

Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or graduation from certified technical school or equivalent experience.

5 years or more experience running CO2 laser, preferably late model Amada, but not required with knowledge of machine settings and beam focal point.

Familiarity with beam alignment procedure and CNC programs.

Material Management experience.

4 Basic understanding of assist gas.

Basic familiarity with hand and power tools as well as measurement tools.

Understand different material types and gauges.

Previous forklift driving experience or willingness to obtain driving certification.
