Job Summary
The Biomedical Engineering Technician 2 will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for medical equipment at various healthcare facilities. The technician will travel to different locations within the assigned region to perform repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on a variety of medical devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment, including but not limited to, infusion pumps, ventilators, defibrillators, and patient monitors.
- Install and set up new medical equipment.
- Provide technical support to healthcare staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medical technology and attend training sessions as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of medical equipment and systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
