The VARN making decisions regarding patient care using critical thinking skills, knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data. The VARN completes all patient and department related documentation in accordance with regulatory, MHS and department standards. He/she serves as the patient advocate and is a key resource to the bedside RN providing education/training and competency evaluation, as required. The VARN may delegate the performance of selected patient care tasks to competent individuals in selected situations while retaining the responsibility and accountability for the care and coordination of care for the patient.Minimum Requirements:One (1) year of general nursing and vascular access experience in an acute care hospital required Education/Licenses/Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hireAdvanced Degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferredCurrent Washington State License as a Registered Nurse requiredCurrent PICC certification required Shift: Day Employment Type: On-Call/Per-Diem
