Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, symptom management, and procedural care for both the adult and pediatric patient population. The RN will act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up. This is a professional nursing position working in close partnership of a physician. Work situations have a high degree of contact with critically ill patients requiring a service-oriented individual with dedication to patient care. This position requires the use of discretion and good judgement in dealing with patients. External contacts consist of physicians, outside agencies, pharmacies, and sales representatives. Internal contacts consist mainly with work group and hospital nursing staff.Minimum Requirements:Medical Oncology - Biotherapy Certificate required within 9 months of hirerMedical Oncology - 1 year of acute care experience preferredMedical Oncology - 1 year of chemotherapy administration preferredRadiation Oncology ACLS within 3 months of hireRadiation Oncology - 1 year of acute care experience preferredRadiation Oncology - 1 year of oncology experience preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hireCurrent Washington State R.N.
