Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating the delivery of skilled patient care. The RN is directly accountable and responsible for the quality of care provided to patients and has the authority to direct care, provide education, seek resources at the unit/department level, and delegate appropriate tasks. The responsibility cannot be avoided by accepting the orders or direction of others. This position requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral and sociological sciences, and requires critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data.
Residency specialties available include: the Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Operating Room, Family Birth Center, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Behavioral Health, and Medical Surgical.
Minimum Requirements
Education/Licenses/Certifications
Current WA state RN license. Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within three years from the initial date of hire. Current Health Care Provider level CPR certification, ACLS or NALS or PALS or TNCC certification, as required by facility or department. Certification in specialty area preferred.
Additional Information:
During the course of Residency training: Your work hours will be up to 80 hours per two week pay period. You may be required to work all shifts. Your post-Residency, Staff RN shift and FTE may be known upon hire. In most cases it is determined at the end of the program. A current BLS card is required by the start date.
