The percentage of time spent in each of these functions will vary with location. The PSR may also be responsible for specimen pick-up in offices, report sorting and delivery, supply delivery, and other tasks related to the operation of the specific location. This is a high-visibility position with primary outpatient and/or inpatient contact. Work situations require professionalism in demeanor, communication and dress, an ability to establish trust and confidence with patients and/or patient families, and a service approach to the job. Internal contacts include other laboratorians and other facility co-workers; external contacts include patients, families, care staff and physicians.Minimum Requirements:Phlebotomy experience preferredPrevious experience dealing with the public preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications:High school graduate or equivalent preferredCurrent Medical Assistant-Certified, Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy Certification, or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible - must complete the training and submit application within 90 days of hireCompletion of phlebotomy course or training preferred Shift: Evening Employment Type: Full-Time Regular
