Position Summary:
The Clinical Research Coordinator II is responsible for a variety of activities in support of clinical research studies. The Clinical Research Coordinator II is responsible for the implementation of clinical studies at all levels, including but not limited to: study feasibility, IRB applications and related forms, data collection forms, patient screening and enrollment, data analysis, sponsor/IRB communications, verification of investigative procedures to accomplish research goals, and preparation of reports. The Clinical Research Coordinator II independently develops and implements research project procedures that meet research objectives and ensure compliance with all aspects of Institution, Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and sponsor regulations pertaining to clinical research in human subjects (e.g. investigator financial disclosure requirements of the FDA).
Work situations are varied and require strong organization, prioritization, data analysis, verbal and written communication skills, use of discretion, good judgment, problem solving, decision-making and leadership. This position requires interaction with a wide variety of internal and external groups to include nursing staff, management, physicians, patients, outside organizations, research groups and service groups such as laboratories, pharmacy and radiology.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum two years of research experience within a healthcare setting
Familiar with and comfortable with research methodology and the scientific method for conducting research projects
Prior experience as a research coordinator, GCP training and/or Research Certification strongly preferred
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelors degree required preferably in science, healthcare or other related fields. Four (4) years experience in research coordination may be substituted for educational requirements
Valid Washington State driver's license
CPR required
Depending on assigned area one of the following is required in the first 90 days of employment:
Washington State Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification
Washington State Medical Assistant Registration

M17 - Min: $27.59-Max: $39.71
