Title: Assistant Project Manager - Site Development

Type: Full Time, Exempt

Location: Reston, VA 

Reports to: Division Director

As a successful civil sustainable construction business, Muller Inc is expanding. We are excited to look for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager with 2 years of construction experience in the DC Metro. Our Assistant Project Manager will support our Project Manager and collaborate with clients and project teams throughout the project and construction management process. Of particular interest is an APM professional with a proven track record working on site construction projects, ideally will have some field experience and/or heavy civil internship experience.

Responsibilities:

Assist current Project Manager with task including but not limited to: 

• Compiling Submittals
• Ordering and Scheduling Materials from Vendors
• Compiling Safety Documents
• Attending Pre-Bid Meetings
• Attending Pre-Construction Meetings
• Obtain bids from subcontractors
• Manage subcontractors
• Manage and evaluate production and budgets
• Coordinate Miss Utility Requests
• Draft billing sheets and AIAs based on schedule of values Manage Small, Short Duration Site Package jobs when needed.
• Coordinate with Customer
• Complete Daily Paperwork
• Schedule Crews and Preloads for Next Day
• Complete Invoice Billing Sheets
• Draft change orders 

Required Qualifications:

• College Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, OR 2 years of Site Construction experience. 
• Ability to communicate at a professional level
• Ability to read civil plans
• Experience performing administrative tasks
• Previous experience working with a site excavation company, heavy highway contractor, or commercial general contractor. 
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Project Management Software
