This is a 5 hour-per-day, 146 days (Monday - Thursday) Conditional Paraeducator position with benefits at the Community Based Transition Center for the 2022-23 school year only. Anticipated start date is September 6, 2022.
Hours for this position are 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support for students.
Minimum Qualifications: Ability to support students with disabilities in the community and classroom. Possess a driver's license in order to drive students using district vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications: Understand disability and advocate for their access to community/school through building independence.

JOB SUMMARY:
Assist the teacher with planning, preparation and delivery of a quality instructional program based upon state standards, district curriculum, and effective instruction for students with diverse learning needs. Supervise students at recess, in the cafeteria, library, assistance for students riding the bus, and perform crossing guard duties before and after school. May assist with implementation of special education services for students i.e., IEP goals, medical assistance, physical support and personal care.
