This position is for the 2022-2023 season at Explorer Middle School.
The successful candidate will oversee the 7th/8th grade wrestling program after school and on weekends. Train and teach student athletes about wrestling, teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Minimum Qualifications: Competitive wrestling experience; willingness to work with middle-school-aged students on building wrestling and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior coaching experience.
Stipends are contingent upon the Mukilteo School District approving extra-curricular activities during the 22-23 school year as well as length of season and number of teams offered. The Stipend may be pro-rated due to shortening the length of the season due to COVID-19.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Head Coach will work under the supervision of the Athletic Director in accordance with District and Building’s mission and vision. The Head Coach oversees the growth and development of student athletes by focusing on fundamental skills instruction with an emphasis on whole child development to include expectations for academic and athletic excellence, leadership skills, and positive social relationships. The Head Coach maintains open and honest communication with students, parents, coaches and administrators. The Head Coach is also a role model in personal management, appearance, ethics, behavior, and sportsmanship. It is the responsibility of the Head Coach to guide, inspire and empower an athlete or team to achieve their full potential.
