With 17 facilities in Northern, Central, and Southern California, Muir Wood is a residential and outpatient treatment program designed for teen boys and girls, ages 12-17, with mental health and substance use disorders. In our safe, comfortable, and structured environments, our compassionate clinicians help teens explore and process sensitive issues while learning to manage their lives in productive ways. We provide high-quality Joint Commission-accredited residential treatment, creating an environment where teens and their families feel cared-for, valued, and engaged. Our academic program is a verified Supplementary Education Program. We are in-network with Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, MHN, Magellan, Halcyon, and Optum, making our exceptional brand of teen treatment accessible to as many families as possible. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing client’s medical needs, monitoring medications, administering and tracking TB skin tests, and assisting psychiatrists as needed. 

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Requirements

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Complete Nursing screening and/or assessment of new clients immediately upon admission according to level of care procedures.
2. Link clients with appropriate medical care as necessary and document all referrals. 
3. Obtain, store and monitor medications according to policy and procedure.
4. Monitor medication process for clients living in residential facilities including supervision of medication distribution, supervising self-administration process. 
5. Provide on-going client education (group and individual) regarding medications.
6. Perform responsibilities according to clinical and timeliness guidelines, and assimilates and applies performance feedback as directed by management personnel. 
7. Work with Operations Manager to order required medical equipment.
8. Cross-train and support other divisions (i.e. care coordinators) as needed or requested by the supervisor.
9. Maintain medical records, medical charts, control log, etc.
10. Participate in weekly staff and clinical meetings.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of California
• Health screening, TB clearance, and valid CPR/First Aid, and criminal record clearance are required prior to employment
• Experience in residential nursing preferred

Compensation: $60.00 - $70.00 with flexibility based on education and experience
