GET TO KNOW THE ROLE

The role of the IT Systems Engineer is to design and deploy system solutions to meet the requirements of core organizational functions, as well as evaluate and recommend technologies required to meet those requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and deploy new platforms and enhancements to existing infrastructure, software, and operating systems. 
  • Resolve complex hardware and software malfunctions. 
  • Review technical requirements, establish project milestones and tasks and determine level of effort estimates for their completion. 
  • Deploy and maintain Unix and Microsoft Servers, Storage Arrays, VMWare infrastructure and related technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex computer system issues for Servers, Active Directory, VMWare, application services and end-user issues while working within an enterprise environment. 
  • Develop and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the organization’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. 
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records. 
  • Implement solutions and test performance, capacity and prepare and deliver performance statistics and reports. 
  • Respond to emergency system outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans, assisting other departments as required. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree (Preferred in Engineering, IS or Technical Degree), Master’s degree is a plus!
  • 5 year’s demonstrable experience in the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure systems, applications, and related technologies.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III A gaming license.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Availability: Ability to work 40 hours per week, primarily Monday – Friday, dayshift. Some holidays, weekends, and nights may be required to support a 24/7 operation. Must maintain on-call rotation.
  • Physical: Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
  • Environment: Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
