GET TO KNOW THE ROLE

The Mixologist will create and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests while ensuring high-end quality and experience for guests. You will be responsible for creating and preparing unique and innovative alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that are both visually appealing and delicious.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Exemplifies MCR’s values and set a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism.
  • Practice, support, and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cocktail-making techniques, such as muddling, shaking, stirring, layering, and garnishing.
  • Understand the balance of flavors, textures, and ingredients to create well-crafted cocktails.
  • Utilize precise measuring and pouring techniques to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Ensure that each drink is visually appealing, maintaining consistency in presentation across multiple orders.
  • Incorporate creativity and aesthetics into cocktail presentations to enhance the overall drinking experience.
  • Engaging with guests in a positive and helpful way, even when busy.
  • Responsibly mix and serve drinks, according to the policy & procedure, for servers and guests.
  • Promote positive guest relations and consistent prompt service. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding alcohol service and safety.
  • Follow proper bar procedures, including responsible alcohol service, cleanliness, and sanitation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including regular cleaning of bar tools, glassware, and equipment.
  • Ensure the safe handling and storage of all alcoholic beverages, including proper labeling and rotation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all bar equipment.
  • Daily creation of advanced bar garnishes and syrups.
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment.
  • Smile and engage guests and team members with a positive professional demeanor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverages is preferred.
  • 2 (Two) years of bartending experience is a high-end (luxury) outlet preferred!
  • Bartending School or equivalent training preferred; experience in lieu of training will be considered.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a WA State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Alcohol Service Permit Class 12.

HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Knowledge of mixology in addition to spirits, beer, and wines.
  • Knowledge of alcohol safety awareness.
  • Knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as required.
  • Skilled in basic math.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
  • Ability to speak and read English, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with guests.
  • Ability to exhibit a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Must be 21 years or older.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Availability – Ability to work different shifts hours per week, holidays, weekends, and nights to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Physical – Ability to maneuver in all areas of the casino, ascent/descent from stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and/or prolonged periods of time focusing on tasks. Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job function, with or without assistance.
  • Environment – Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) while working and traversing on the gaming floor.
