A hardening line operator is a specialty position at Mubea and a very important part of the process at the Connecting Products business unit. Hardening line operators use pallet jacks to load the material onto the line. You ensure that the product moves through the process in a smooth manor by heating up the product and cooling it back down to create a much more durable product. The parts are then moved to the next step in the process. Quality is another big part of this role as quality checks are done very consistently.
Duties and Responsibilities• Use of a crane • Use of a pallet jack • Quality checks • Production paperwork • Use of tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc. • Mechanically inclined decision making • Self sufficiency
Qualifications• Ability to read, write and understand job documentation • Physical coordination to lift and move product • Trainable with fork lift truck • Ability to handle multiple tasks • Written and oral communication skills with attention to detail • Math ability, including conversions (English & Metric units) • Ability to read, use and understand measuring devices • Ability to understand machine computer functions • Trainable with CNC, PLC controls and SPC documentation • Ability to perform hardness check and quality checks • Ability to load material, perform changeovers, make needed adjustments during production and tooling changes • Ability to multi task and run multiple lines while maintaining 5S standards • Ability to complete all reports at the end of the shift
