Job description
Growing manufacturing company supplier to the automotive industry in Chesterfield, MI looking for an experienced full-time CMM Operator. Requirements include technical educational background preferably in engineering; excellent communication skills; strong working knowledge of hexagon software and experience working with CMM machines. Job Description:

• Perform dimensional control by means of three-dimensional machines (HEXAGON Metrology 85 ABSOLUTE ARM RA8 v1 )
• Develop CMM programs
• Prepare reports after measurement, forward to the responsible or requesting sector in order to report results and provide possible corrections for anomalies and / or dimensional deviations.
• Operate measurement systems, collecting, analyzing and recording data, in order to meet the technical demands of the areas, according to the internal procedures defined by the Company, current safety standards and technical specifications of the customer.
• Use Hand and Power tools to set our product into place and measure product.

Required Skils & Duties:

• Must be familiar with blueprint reading
• Must be familiar with geometric dimension and tolerance.
• Must be able to start, run, and program CMM in plant
• Must be able to assist troubleshooting machining issues
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
• Be able to effectively communicate with others- either verbally or written.
• Ability to apply technical experience and knowledge to unsupervised ongoing projects
• Hands-on mentality
• Must be able to lift 30-60 lbs and work on feet for duration of shift.
