Mtn. View Family Practice is looking for a highly qualified and dependable Medical Receptionist to join our Team. A qualified candidate will be responsible for timely and efficient patient interaction with a solid track record of managing details, prioritizing tasks, and providing quality customer service and satisfaction in a fast paced, changing environment.

The position requires the ability to clearly communicate with patients and co-workers to ensure quality patient care. Candidates must be able to take initiative, be responsible and resourceful, work independently on assigned tasks, and exhibit good work ethic while working collectively with their co-workers and administrative team.

Responsibilities:

• Participate as a member of the health care team to help maintain department/clinic efficiency and delivery of high-quality patient centered care.
• Facilitates patient/clinic flow by communicating with patients and clinical staff.
• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone, in a professional, consistent, and courteous manner.
• Answer and respond to incoming clinic phone calls, schedule appointments, triage medical questions, and follow-up with patients using clear, professional communication and problem-solving skills.
• Registers/updates patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including financial and insurance information.
• Prioritize workload and tasks within a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Proper documentation within an Electronic Health Record.
• Provide services to multiple diverse populations with patients ranging from infants to end-of-life, in a compassionate manner that demonstrates an understanding of the individual served.

Requisites:

• Full-time position with scheduling flexibility to accommodate occasional Saturday shifts.
• High School Diploma required
• At least 1 year medical reception, administration, or medical assisting experience required
• Prior EMR experience preferred and experience with EPIC a plus
