MTFA Architecture is seeking an architectural historian who is committed to transforming visions, enhancing potential, and exceeding expectations in the built environment. We are dedicated to preserving and adapting historic buildings and sites nationwide. Preservation is what we do and what we have been doing for over 40 years.
To join us as an architectural historian, you should have:
· Project experience with the Secretary of Interiors Standards for the treatment of Historic Properties and the Section 106 process
· Undergraduate or graduate degree in architectural history
· 5 to 10 years of experience as a preservation specialist
· Experience with research for historic structures reports
· Experience navigating federal and local repositories
· Interest in participating in survey of historic structures
· Strong writing skills, communication skills, organizational skills
· Collaborative personality to bring out the best in team situations
· Interested in learning and growing within the field of architectural preservation
· Experience with tax credit applications is a plus
· US citizen or permanent US resident
