Join the Meadows Learning Center Instructor Team known for being the “Best in the West” in delivering the ultimate on snow experience. As a member of our ski/snowboard school, you'll be teaching groups and individuals of all ages and abilities. Our “Learning Terrain Areas” have sculpted features to enhance the learning and teaching experience with rollers, banked turns, an ideal slope all located in controlled areas devoted to those just learning - come be part of teaching innovation! Season schedule commitments of teaching days can be achieved in as few as 18 days on the mountain once you’ve completed the on-snow experienced instructor training, on-boarding and orientation days. We are committed to professional development of our team of instructors through our daily (and nightly) clinics and training programs. Dedicated snow sports professionals are trained throughout multiple touch points within the resort from teaching lessons to greeting guests and helping out in other areas as needed, maximizing one of our very best resources - the team members in the largest department on the mountain! Season starts typically Thanksgiving weekend and runs through mid-April with night operations starting in mid-December through the first weekend in March. Experienced Instructor Checklist: 14 years of age or older A PSIA-AASI certification or a minimum of one full winter season instructing for a PSIA-AASI Member School Strong guest services & communication skills Ability to ski and/or snowboard in all winter weather conditions for extended periods of time Ability to commit to working shifts on weekends, holidays, and/or school holiday periods based on 18 or 24 shift commitment for the season – or roughly 40 to 54 teaching hours for the season Shifts may include a combination of day shifts, night shifts or both to meet your commitment Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business Employment in this position is subject to a satisfactory background check for 18 years of age or older Other Considerations: Teaching wages meet or exceed NSAA national averages and are based on PSIA-AASI Certifications and Accreditations PSIA-AASI Level I training and certification provided by in-house trainers and examiners PSIA-AASI Level II/III Certification training provided by PSIA-NW DCLs and Examiners who are also staff trainers at Mt.
