Mt. Hood Community College is Hiring a Dentist (Part-Time) Near Gresham, OR

Performs dental exams for patients at the MHCC dental clinic. 
 
Essential Duties
  1. Examines clinical patients for caries, oral lesions, orthognathic relationships, or any other area significant to preventative dental care.
  2. Evaluates patients’ radiographs for pathology and completes appropriate referral forms.
  3. Reviews student chart entries and referrals, provides corrections as necessary, and signs as the dentist of record.
  4. Acts as a consultant for students and faculty in the assessment of patient health histories.
  5. Emphasizes the importance of patient consent; informs patients of treatment options and follow-through (completion of all recommended care or appropriate referral).

Additional Duties
  1.  Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education/Licensing: Possession of a current dental license in Oregon (DMD or DDS)
Experience/Training:
  • Eligible to obtain liability insurance
  • Three (3) years clinical dental practice experience
Desired Qualifications
  • General/family practice experience preferred, but specialists will be considered
  • Possession of a Nitrous Oxide Permit
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, faculty, and staff
