Drafter/Designer:

MSS Engineering, LLC is a growing engineering firm focused on bringing life safety and economical designs to life through superior ethics, professionalism, and integrity. We are a Civil/Structural Engineering consulting firm specializing in structural design of buildings and building components including 3D Drafting, Full Building Design & Code Review, Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, Land Planning and Development, Watershed Analysis, and Stormwater & Erosion Control Plans. MSS Engineering, LLC is located in Auburn, IN with projects all across the United States. This is a permanent position at our Auburn, IN office.

The Opportunity:

MSS Engineering, LLC seeks a professional, dependable, organized, and self-motivated individual experienced in Structural Drafting and Design using Autodesk Revit, with some AutoCad. This position provides Structural, Architectural, and MEP drawings for buildings, building systems, and various other Civil designs. Projects in Commercial, Residential, Industrial, and Agricultural can vary from Wood, Concrete, Masonry, and Steel. This position involves coordinating projects with our loyal customers and working with Engineering.

  • Prepare Structural, Civil, Fabrication, and Installation Drawings using Autodesk Revit.
  • Responsible for good communication with Customer’s and Engineering.
  • Manage multiple, multidiscipline projects with good organizational skills.
  • Occasional travel to assist in field dimensioning.
  • Exercise considerable judgement on confidential or technical information.
  • Occasional travel to trade shows for marketing our services (typically 1-3 trade shows a year).
  • Setup of Engineering documents via Excel and Engineering Structural Analysis Models.

What You Bring:

  • One to four years Drafting experience in Autodesk Revit.
  • Degree in a relevant Drafting and/or Engineering field is a plus. (Drafting certificate matched with relevant experience may also apply.)
  • Proficient in a variety of software including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, IES Visual Analysis, and Bluebeam a plus.
  • Self-Motivated, Organized, Punctual, and Dependable.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  • Ability to prioritize, remain organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel as necessary to meet the needs of the position.
  • Ability to work well independently and on a team, demonstrating initiative where appropriate.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information to staff, and clients in a courteous and professional manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
