Operations Assistant

• The Operations Assistant is responsible for the proper operating environment of the technical and facilities areas of WBUR.

• This position ensures that proper service and maintenance procedures are followed and assists the Operations Manager in daily operational tasks.

• The Operations Assistant independently maintains general station supplies while addressing the daily needs of the WBUR team and station.

• The hands-on duties of this position vary from facility setup and breakdown for station events, minor facility repairs, daily mail distribution, and the proper installation, maintenance, and inventory upkeep for station equipment.

• This position is also responsible for making catering arrangements, coordinating repairs for large equipment, and scheduling maintenance for station vehicles.

• The position responsibilities also include reception desk tasks, including but not limited to - answering listener calls and forwarding to the appropriate group or person, checking the WBUR information email inbox - sorting, routing and responding accordingly, and providing guest building access.

• Due to the demands of this position, a candidate with a wide range of hands-on experience with equipment and facility maintenance is required.
