MSL Engineering, Inc. is Hiring a Land Surveyor Near San Dimas, CA

Location: San Dimas, CA

Position: Office Land Surveyor (LSIT or PLS)

Description: MSL Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Office Land Surveyor (LSIT or PLS) to join our team. In support of our client’s site development projects, MSL Engineering land surveyors specialize in the preparation of A.L.T.A. Land Title Survey Maps, Topographic Surveys, Parcel Maps, Easements, and Construction Staking.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of detailed A.L.T.A. Land Title Survey Maps with the emphasis on meeting our client’s extensive requirements for legal review and to provide the basis of design for construction documents.
  • Research title documents, plot easements, and provide detailed review and analysis of all title exceptions.
  • Use AutoCAD software to produce detailed maps.
  • Supervise and support field survey crews for A.L.T.A. Land Title Survey Maps.
  • Prepare legal descriptions and sketches.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Construction staking calculations and AutoCAD setup
  • Review of site development construction documents for quality control and support construction staking.

Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum experience in preparation of A.L.T.A. Land Title Survey Maps.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Strong boundary analysis and boundary determination skills.
  • Ability to adapt to MSL Engineering survey standards.
  • Highly proficient with AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferences:

  • Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) Certification or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License preferred.
  • Bachelors in a surveying or engineering curriculum.
