Metro Sales is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative at our Burnsville headquarters. The best candidate for this position is someone who loves customer service, has an upbeat positive "can do" attitude, works hard to achieve goals and wants to continuously improve and develop themselves as well as seeking improvements to the work that they do.
The Accounts Receivable Representative provides support for customer inquiries, contacting customers and collecting payment on business accounts, posting checks, credit cards, ACH payments to accounts, and other administrative tasks. Metro Sales will provide the support and training you need to personally and professionally succeed in this role. Our team is hardworking, highly collaborative and supportive of each other, while having fun along the way!
What You Will Do:
  • Ability to make approximately 200 contacts per week and send letters or emails on past due accounts
  • Answering customer service line emails and phone calls and assisting customers with inquiries and issues.
  • Posting checks, credit card and ACH payments and reconcile customer accounts.
  • Collecting and distributing mail
  • Participate in personal development activities for self-improvement
  • Potential for additional job duties to aid other teams within the department and additional administrative tasks/special projects as assigned.
  • Hours: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri, Hybrid work schedule.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, professional phone etiquette for communication with various departments and customers.
  • Strong computer skills required - data entry, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to work under the pressure of daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or alone.
  • Ability to keep a positive and "can do" attitude at all times.
  • Detail orientated and ability to multi-task.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of office or industry experience with previous customer service experience helpful.
