Process Improvement Engineer Job DescriptionOverview

We are seeking a talented Process Improvement Engineer to join our team at our facility in Mableton, GA. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, experience in a manufacturing environment, and possess excellent communication skills. This role will involve utilizing CAD software, Microsoft Excel, and analysis programs to drive high-level operations analysis and implement process improvements.

Looking for any and all experience levels, Lower level roles and higher level roles are welcome to apply.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works with cross-functional teams to identify and implement most effective and efficient logistics process improvements.

Conducts cross-functional meetings in support of initiatives to develop key measures of success and monitor performance against these measures.

Develops and maintains engineered standards, standard operating procedures, and Labor Reporting system for resident CFC.

Works with resident operations team to develop labor reporting.

Performs work measurement analysis using time studies or predetermined motion time systems to develop optimal process.

Leads cross-functional teams to identify and implement most effective and efficient logistics process improvements while mitigating risk to associates and operations.

Generates process layouts to facilitate best practices and proper flow in work area.

Develops and documents “Standard Cost Data” for use in process improvement analysis.

Performs cost-benefit analysis to evaluate financial feasibility of potential process improvements.

Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan, prioritize, and accomplish goals.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering is required.

1 - 3 years engineering experience in a distribution environment is required.

Experience in implementing and maintaining work measurement systems and working with labor reporting systems.

Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization.

SKILLS:

Experience with engineered standards development tools.

Excellent data manipulation skills.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, and AutoCAD

Responsibilities
  • Utilize CAD software to design and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Conduct high-level operations analysis to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and analysis programs to track and measure process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to conduct high-level operations analysis
MISCELLANEOUS:

A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel are required.
