MSAD15 is seeking a 0.5 Assistant Director of Special Services who has 3-5 years of Special Education teaching experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

?- 504 Plans
- McKinney-Vento Liaison
- assisting the director in student and staff observations
- assisting the director in planning and delivering professional development
- assisting the director in recruiting and retaining special education staff

The ideal candidate will possess:

well developed interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills

the ability to work collaboratively with administrators, staff, related-service providers, consultants, students, and families

strong knowledge of research-based intervention strategies across grade levels

demonstrated ability to assess and address academic and behavioral strategies

comprehensive knowledge of Federal ADA, IDEA, and Maine's Chapter 101 Unified Special Education Regulations

Applicants must hold a Maine Department of Education 030 endorsement or 035 endorsement certification and have a current State of Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check prior to employment.
