Description: M.S.A.D. #11 is currently seeking a team oriented, energetic,
and creative educator to join the Gardiner Regional Middle School teaching
staff as a Music Teacher. Instruction may include general music classes, instrumental lessons, choral lessons, and band and chorus rehearsals. The teacher will help students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which could include singing, moving to music, playing of instruments and listening to performances. G.R.M.S. is continually striving to establish solid connections, ongoing communication with both students and families/guardians to create a positive culture and climate that supports the needs of all students so they can succeed.
Qualifications: A true passion for teaching music; Sound knowledge of choral and instrumental curriculum for middle level students; The ability to use a variety of instructional techniques and build lesson plans that will suit different individuals; Capacity to arrange opportunities for students to present at musical performances; The expertise to establish routines and maintain standards of student behavior; and the willingness to be a collaborative team player.
