1st Shift - (6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm on Friday - overtime as business needs dictate).

Starting Pay $17.50/hour - Additional compensation may be available based upon experience.

We are looking to hire a Production Worker for our Springfield, Virginia CARES (cleaning, repair and evaluation services) location who will be responsible to perform the following tasks:

• Inspection, review, and evaluation of turnout gear.
• Prep, repair, and conduct alterations of turnout gear.
• Other duties as assigned.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Experience using a sewing machine and performing stitching operations.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Basic knowledge of computers or tablets.

Education Required:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Experience Required:

• Strong organization skills and high attention to detail.
• Previous experience in Quality Control and Inspection desirable.
• Must be willing to work from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
• Hep B shot series will be required and provided by Globe/MSA.
• NFPA 1851 training will be required and provide by Globe/MSA.

Experience Preferred:

• Knowledge of Globe products.
• Bilingual (Spanish).
• Previous experience using a sewing machine and performing stitching operations.
