Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Consultant to join our team. The Nurse Consultant will provide expert advice on healthcare practices and procedures, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.

The Nurse Consultant will be responsible for working with State Veteran Homes (MSVH-Collins, MSVH-Traditions, and MSVH-Jackson) to ensure the following:

• Ensure Facility policies and procedures are being following
• Possess knowledge of State, Federal and VA Regulations and ensure facility are trained in those regulations
• Training of Director of Nurses and other Administrative Nurses
• Working as a team with Director of Nursing Home Operations
• Reviewing systems of the Veterans Homes
• Nurse consultants must possess clinical knowledge and expertise in their specialty to demonstrate competency and experience
• Nurse Consultant should possess strong nursing skills, communication skills, critical thinking, patient assessment, and documentation abilities
• Nurse Consultant should possess knowledge of MDS Assessments
• Nurse Consultant should possess knowledge of Wound Care
