Job Description

Ms. Lam Montessori is hiring a native English-Speaking AMI-Trained Elementary Teacher. Since our classrooms are led by Mandarin-speaking teachers, we are looking for someone whose primary responsibility will be to provide a variety of rigorous and engaging English lessons for our children.

Job Duties

• Daily setting up and cleaning of the classroom
• Assisting the Lead Teacher during classroom hour, lunch and circling time
• Prepare to lead story time, singing or other language work
• Take ownership of classroom and willing to step up when needed
• Help the school become a better place to work by openly communicating with Director, Lead Teacher and other staff

Requirements

• Holds an AMI 3-6 license or in training
• Is passionate about the English Language and Culture
• Can create interesting and engaging lessons to help support the child’s interest in reading and writing
• Can create lesson plans to tailor the needs of individual child
• A team player committed to professional and personal growth
• Takes ownership of working towards children’s progress

Salary and Benefits

$60,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive salary and benefits. Room and board nearby the school may be available to full-time qualified candidates. Breakfast, lunch and snack are provided for all children and staff. We sponsor top-notch Montessori training and development to the right individual.
