Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client are NOW HIRING a full-time PLC Technician in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area!

The PLC Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability by repairing and maintaining a wide range of processing equipment across the plant.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the selection, installation, programming, documentation, and knowledge of all plant instrumentation and automatic devices.
• Systemically document and track production variables, downtime, product samples, and ensure proper blending of raw materials by weight or automatic metering systems.
• Adhere to and record time and temperature points in recipe specifications to meet quality standards.
• Actively support the ConAgra Performance System
• Coordinate with external services for timely follow-ups.
• Supervise and inspect on control work that has been done by Maintenance Technicians.
• Train team members on the operations of newly installed or modified process or utility control systems.
• Ensure contractors deliver fully documented PLC programs for the systems they work on and provide thorough training to all relevant personnel in the respective area.
• Perform other required tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• 2 years of experience with; pressure controls, control circuits, programmable controllers, drive units, variable frequency drives, scales, monitoring systems, sensors and security systems in an industrial environment
• Holds an Associate’s Degree
• Proficient in Servo Motors and drives
• Experienced in Vision System
• Skilled in PLC troubleshooting
• Knowledgeable Allen Bradley HMI troubleshooting
• Possess Auto CAD experience

Physical Requirements:

• Can Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs frequently during time on duty
• Can Lift/Carry/Push/Pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Can reach overhead occasionally
