MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client are NOW HIRING a Turret Forklift Operator in the Greenwood, Indiana, area!

Pay: $ 17.50 / hour

Location: Greenwood, Indiana

This role involves safely and effectively operating and servicing mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment such as forklifts, dollies, and hand trucks within the facility. Responsibilities include completing Quality Assurance tasks (QA experience preferred), ensuring the safe movement of goods to and from various locations, and having a thorough understanding of logistics, supply chain management, material management, and distribution/transportation processes to meet business requirements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, move, store, and ship parts, materials, equipment, and supplies within the warehouse.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading of trailers.
• Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring all personnel stay clear of operating equipment.
• Contribute to efficient material handling by demonstrate, lead, and assist in the operation of weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Forklifts and other assigned warehouse equipment.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to read/write and interpret documents
• 7 year CLEAN BG - no felonies and no misdemeanors
• Mus pass a Drug Test

Physical Requirements:

• Requires ability to operate mechanical equipment in a safe effective manner
• Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
• Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight
• Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor
• Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
