As a part of the Business Optimization team, the Master Data Specialist plays an integral role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of MRP Solutions critical data across multiple sites. This position will oversee the entry, update and quality control of critical information which includes but is not limited to customer, vendor, product, and bill of material data. The Master Data Specialist will work with multiple departments to ensure their functions are executed efficiently and effectively which facilitates optimized operations, accurate reporting and reliable analytics. This is a critical role for the organization to help maintain the data infrastructure. Candidates will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively while being a positive reflection of corporate values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain and ensure the accuracy of master data across various systems and sites.

· Implement and manage data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal and external standards.

· Perform regular data quality checks and audits to identify and correct inconsistencies within the master data.

· Facilitate the entry of new master data records ensuring that all required information is collected and accurately entered in the system.

· Develop and provide training to end users on data management processes and best practices to ensure proper master data entry and maintenance.

· Initiate projects incorporating cross-functional teams to consolidate, clean and optimize master data across the organization.

· Design and implement dashboards to monitor the health of master data and KPIs to track the effectiveness of master data processes and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTITUDES:

· Bachelor’s degree or applicable experience

· Proven experience as a Master Data Specialist or similar role

· Strong analytical skills

· Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

· Propensity for problem solving and continuous improvement

· Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

· High level of integrity and dependability

· Deep understanding of data governance, quality control of data, and database systems

· Excellent computer skills (MS Office, etc.)

· Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate credibly at all levels of the organization

· Ability to work under pressure

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties, the employee will be required to sit and/or stand, talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands, fingers and arms feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds. May need to walk varying distances and climb stairs.
