Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Care to join our team. As the Director of Care, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of patient care within our organization. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills, in-depth knowledge of physiology and anatomy, and a passion for providing high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement care plans for patients, ensuring they receive appropriate and personalized treatment
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to care plans as needed
- Manage a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between different levels of care (e.g., from hospital to assisted living)
- Oversee budgeting and financial management related to patient care
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in order to continuously improve the quality of care provided
- Provide leadership and guidance in hospice care services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare management role
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and patient monitoring techniques
- Familiarity with Medicare regulations and reimbursement processes
- Experience in developing and implementing care plans
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of assisted living facilities and their specific care requirements
