Mail Inserter / Machine Operator

MPX of Portland, ME is looking to hire a Part-Time Mail Inserter / Machine Operator to operate mail inserting equipment and produce high-quality products. Are you self-motivated and goal-oriented? A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAIL INSERTER / MACHINE OPERATOR / PRODUCTION WORKER

As a Mail Inserter / Machine Operator / Production Worker, you come to work armed with energy, wit, and the willingness to pitch in with the team. Most of your time is spent setting up and operating our mail inserter machine in accordance with each order's specifications. Throughout your shift, you verify order information on audit sheets, complete maintenance logs, and report inserter downtime as required.

You are highly motivated to meet or exceed our production and quality standards, schedules, and deadlines. You enjoy working with your hands and figuring out mechanical problems when they occur, troubleshooting to keep our production moving. Always up for a challenge, you perform moderately complex product change-over activities. As a team player, you also assist with handwork and reprints when needed. At the end of your shift, you are filled with a sense of satisfaction for a job well done!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge in basic math, fractions, and percentages
• Confident with computers and technology
• Mechanically inclined
• Frequently able to lift 10-50 lbs and bend, push, and pull carts
• Ability to stand for 10-12 hours

Experienced working with mail inserting equipment is preferred. Are you organized and detail-oriented? Do you have a cooperative spirit and believe in being a team player? This mail inserting position has multiple shifts available:

• Flexibility from October - January
• Looking for Mon-Friday day help.
