MPX-SFX is Hiring a Night Operations Lead Near Portland, ME

SFX is looking for a high energy, positive person to join our awesome team as Night Operations Administrator. You will work in a safe and organized printing, inserting and metering production environment producing high-quality finished products. Regular shift is Monday through Friday, 3:30PM - 12AM.

Our Operations Lead will:

  • Opening and closing the night shift, which includes reviewing and signing off work from dayshift
  • Prioritizing work into production in collaboration with the Ops Manager as needed to ensure work is completed and delivered in accordance with client service level agreements.
  • Directing printing, inserting, metering, folding/tabbing and handwork.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting equipment and knowing when to escalate issues to Ops Manager
  • Quality Assurance Management - Identifying when an incident has happened, entering all relevant information, following up to resolution, and instituting process improvements.
  • Managing the nightly mail pick up

The successful candidate will be:

  • Experienced in color printing and/or mail inserting equipment (preferred)
  • Prior experience directing flow of production
  • Ability to delegate and explain work to others
  • Confident with computers and technology
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail
  • Reliable, and have regular and consistent attendance
  • Able to manage large workload, while producing quality work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and deadlines
  • Knowledgeable in basic math, fractions, and percentages
  • Safety conscious with ability to perform job functions in a safe manner
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors; visually, orally, and in writing
  • Self-directed, continually looking for ways to improve work, eager to learn and grow
  • A team player, with a cooperative spirit

Physical Requirements Include:

  • Frequently lift 10-20 lbs.
  • Ability to stand 10-12 hours
  • Bend, push and pull carts
