$15.95 hourly rate with a $500 Sign-on Bonus After 90 full-time Days Worked

2nd Shift 2 : 00 p.m. - 10 : 30 p.m., with a $.25 premium

3rd Shift 10 : 00 p.m. - 6 : 30 a.m., with a $.40 premium

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for cleaning activity / handling solid and hazardous waste in an automotive manufacturing facility. General activity includes janitorial activities, lifting, water blasting, preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, inspection of waste storage areas and documentation as required.

Scheduling subject to union seniority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Using solvents, high pressure water blasters and manual scraping / chipping to clean walls, hoses, windows, grates, lights, robots.
• Grease rails and other minor preventative maintenance.
• Vacuum and wipe interior and exterior of equipment.
• Clean building floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Lock out / tag out of equipment for safe entry into energized areas of the paint shop.
• Confined space entry procedures for safe entry into confined space areas needing to be cleaned.
• Production Assist Tool Cleaning support
• General janitorial functions such as office and restroom cleaning

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED
• Prefers 3 years of relevant experience in a Unionized manufacturing setting.
• Able to stand, kneel, bend, and reach for extended periods of time within 6" to the ground.
• Able to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.
• Lifting, carrying, and pulling equipment of various sizes, shapes, and weights.

• Experience with motorized carts, forklift trucks, scrubbers a plus.
