JOB SUMMARY:

Perform assembly operations including parts preparation, welding, gluing, stacking, and firing all types of Planar sub-assemblies and final assemblies required in the process of making finished tubes to customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Accurately follow supervisory and engineering directions.

2. Read, interpret, and follow ISO work instructions

3. Operate various electrical and mechanical equipment associated with tube assembly.

4. Clean, measure and sort various components as required.

5. Spot Weld, leak check, initiate paperwork associated with kitted parts & kit parts, stack parts and sub-assemblies, glue parts and sub-assemblies,

6. Operate RF Brazing equipment.

7. Operate Heater coating machine.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Use various chemicals and gasses including but not limited to acetone, isopropyl alcohol, solder flux, toluene, various glues, trichlorethylene, methanol, liquid nitrogen, petroleum ether, detergents, soaps, hydrogen gas, helium gas, argon gas, and nitrogen gas.

2. Expedite tests to facilitate troubleshooting of quality and production problems, and changes in assembly specifications.

3. Transport product, equipment, and paperwork through the facility as needed.

4. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.

5. Accurately report daily production and labor.

6. Maintain logs, records, and relevant paperwork to ISO documentation standards.

7. Perform various electrical and mechanical measurements on Planar tubes, and related sub-assemblies.

8. Routinely perform minor mathematical calculations.

9. Pass/fail product based upon acquired data, visual inspection, and various other means of testing.

10. Wash dishes.

11.Perform other related duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Position requires proficient use of the following tools and equipment: microscope, analytical scales, travelers, calculator, digital and dial gages accurate to .00005”, micrometers, bottle rollers, ultrasonic cleaners, furnaces, various gages, alignment fixtures, tweezers, welders, razor blades, and kitchen sink.

2. Position requires use of both hands to hold, weld, and assemble small parts, while using a microscope for visual aide.

3. Position requires sitting, standing, bending, stooping, grasping, pinching, and reaching motions.

4.Wool gloves and other safety equipment may be required along with a lab coat, finger cots, and rubber, and nylon gloves.

5. Must be able to work with chemicals and solvents in a controlled atmosphere environment.

6. Must understand and become familiar with ISO documentation and regulations.

7. Position requires good vision and color acuity.
