JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Registered Vascular Sonographer

• Facilitate the patient's experience by greeting patients, explaining pre and post procedure instructions, and verifying patient's identity. Utilize AIDET Principles in all patient and provider encounters.
• Perform ultrasound exams using proper protocols and positioning techniques, transporting patients safely, verifying accuracy of orders and documenting patient information.
• Document the patient's exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning and recording the exam details in the electronic medical record system.
• Conduct environmental and safety procedures including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment. Evaluate and maintain supply levels and practice safe patient maneuvers.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications, and societies.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

• Education: Associate degree or Graduate of Radiology, Imaging or related educational program in Ultrasound Technology or Sonography.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Board Certified in Ultrasound Technology or Sonography, member in good standing.
  • ARDMS certification required.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required.
  • CPR and/or BLS certification required.
• Experience: 1 year of recent vascular ultrasound experience required. Experience working with thyroid biopsies is a must!
• Knowledge/Skills:
  • Basic computer skills including email and ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record System (EMR) and PACS Systems.
  • Use of Ultrasound equipment, disinfection unit and general office equipment.
  • Consistently demonstrate commitment to safe practices while abiding by all OSHA and HIPPA guidelines.
  • Consistently model AIDET principles, service excellence and service recovery.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Location: Varied across our 3 different sites! Burlington, NC, Greensboro, NC, and Summerfield, NC.
• Shift/Schedule: 5 days per week (Monday - Friday) from 8:00am - 5:00pm EST.
• Compensation: $31.90 - $45.30 depending on experience.
