MP RPO is Hiring a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) Near Wolfeboro, NH
JOB SUMMARY:
MP's client, located in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire is looking to hire for a full time/direct hire PACU RN. Under the general supervision of the Team Leader and Director of Surgical Services, the PACU RN is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient/family centered care in Surgical Services.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
Patient Advocacy: Protects the patient's rights, dignity, and privacy. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medication, and team strategies. Utilize appropriate resources for non-English speaking patients, hearing, and sight impaired individuals, and/or healthcare illiteracy.
Clinical Competency: Assesses patients at intervals and communicates status through the continuum of care. Protects patient from injury caused by chemical, electrical, positioning, heat and/or extraneous objects.
Quality: Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments. Follows the hospital and nursing division's mission, philosophies, and standard care. Participates in quality review and performance improvement projects.
Professionalism: Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, and more.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- Experience: Must have recent PACU experience within a hospital setting
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
- Certifications/Licensure: New Hampshire RN Active License, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. PALS Certification Preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Compensation Range: $40 - $48 per hour based on experience, education, certifications and more.
- Schedule: Monday - Thursday (9 hour days, 36 hours per week). Rotating on call.
