JOB SUMMARY:

MP's client, located in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire is looking to hire for a full time/direct hire PACU RN . Under the general supervision of the Team Leader and Director of Surgical Services, the PACU RN is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient/family centered care in Surgical Services.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

Patient Advocacy: Protects the patient's rights, dignity, and privacy. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medication, and team strategies. Utilize appropriate resources for non-English speaking patients, hearing, and sight impaired individuals, and/or healthcare illiteracy.

Clinical Competency: Assesses patients at intervals and communicates status through the continuum of care. Protects patient from injury caused by chemical, electrical, positioning, heat and/or extraneous objects.

Quality: Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments. Follows the hospital and nursing division's mission, philosophies, and standard care. Participates in quality review and performance improvement projects.

Professionalism: Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, and more.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

• Experience: Must have recent PACU experience within a hospital setting
• Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
• Certifications/Licensure: New Hampshire RN Active License, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. PALS Certification Preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Compensation Range: $40 - $48 per hour based on experience, education, certifications and more.
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday (9 hour days, 36 hours per week). Rotating on call.
