Diagnostic Radiology and Imaging (DRI Greensboro)

Description

DRI/Greensboro Imaging is searching for an experienced Facility Administrator who has a solid background working in Multiple Modalities within Outpatient Radiology. The Facility Administrator is responsible for development and oversight of budget, personnel management, supply chain procurement and management, and implementation of new programs in accordance with the mission of Greensboro Imaging at multiple locations. Reviews work schedules with supervisors who assign duties to team members to maintain patient flow and achieve production goals. This position directs the overall operations of the technical and support staff and works with management, radiologists and referring physicians to promote high quality and cost-effective health care. Provides leadership, direction, organization and management while creating an environment that fosters high morale, employee satisfaction, and loyalty.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Responsible for monitoring of financial results, variance reporting and action plans to meet established budget objectives; Reviews and manages clinic income statements.
  • Supervises inventory management including purchasing, product selection, and supply usage.
  • Ensures patient and treatment charge information and other related data are accurate and submitted in a timely manner by means of the designated reporting system.
  • Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
  • Provides input/support for the development and adherence to established budget. Assures area of responsibility functions within budgeted expectation; Participates with development of short- and long- term capital budgets and capital needs planning. Contributes input into the selection and purchase of capital equipment in a fiscally responsible and professional manner. Accepts and supports DRI decisions for vendor selection.

Risk Management/Quality Assurance Compliance:

  • Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures in accordance with State and Federal Regulations for patient care and services (HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, or other governing agencies). Ensures compliance with State or Federal Regulations of the Injury Prevention and Safety Training Program.
  • Maintains Quality Assurance Programs as required by the Company.
  • Evaluates current processes and procedures and identifies and implements areas of improvement while adhering to HIPAA, CARF, DOH as well as state Medicaid and payor requirements.
  • Participates in and leads quality assurance meetings and all applicable in-services.
  • Provides administrative oversight for the Radiation Safety programs within the Region working effectively with the Divisional Office of Radiation Safety and the local Radiation Safety Committee(s).

Facility/Equipment Management:

  • Ensures equipment and supplies are maintained to provide quality care and to ensure the safety of patients and teammates.
  • Identifies and plans prompt corrective action for any issues with safety or equipment and systems.
  • Participates in the development and periodic revision of policies and procedures with the Regional Operations Director and Clinical Director to assure consistent, efficient and safe operation of the facility/program.
  • An effective participant of the strategic planning to assure the space, equipment, staffing needs and regulatory requirements of imaging are addressed as functional aspects of all growth strategy projects.
  • Provides oversight and is an active participant in imaging growth, expansion and equipment replacement and projects.

Patient Care Management:

  • Participates in development and revision of policies and procedures with Regional Operations Director and Medical Director to ensure consistent, efficient and safe treatment delivery.
  • Fosters a sense of urgency in teammates that promotes commitment to optimal clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance for the facility.

Staff Management:

  • Creates, maintains, and communicates efficient and timely employee schedules according to the needs of the facility.
  • Provides leadership to direct reports.
  • Evaluates and ensures accuracy and quality of images and provides technical assistance to staff.
  • Helps direct reports overcome any organizational obstacles encountered during projects.
  • Knows, understands, implements, follows, and communicates to teammates all DRI Health employment policies and procedures, awards, and other opportunities within company and foster a positive work environment.
  • Ensures all DRI employment processes are completed timely and in compliance with Company policy and any applicable laws including but not limited to Performance Development Reviews, teammate personnel file maintained, etc.
  • Ensures all plans, organization and supervision of all center teammates is managed through department supervisors and leads (including but not limited to clinical, technical, front desk, case management and laboratory team) to ensure high quality patient care according to Greensboro Imaging.
  • Facilitates teammate development (professional development reviews, coaching, mentoring, training & education).
  • Collaborate with direct reports to create professional development goals.
  • Maintains familiarity with and communicate to teammates all benefit programs impacting teammates.
  • Addresses teammate relations issues appropriately and escalate as necessary.
  • Provides work direction for department teammates through supervisors and leads.
  • Ensures that supervisors and leads are determining staffing plans that promote the most effective use of all teammates; ensures coverage during teammate absences.
  • Reports and documents all teammate injuries according to established policy and procedure.
  • Knows and understands basic wage and hour laws, federal, state and local laws and regulations, Medicaid, and legislation affecting employment.
  • Reviews and approves timecards of direct reports for bi-weekly payroll; Reviews and approves timecards of all teammates for payroll with supervisors and leads; Tracks overtime, attendance, and PTO with supervisors and leads; Researches and responds to questions regarding payroll issues.
  • Ensures team members attend educational programs to keep up to date on DRI policies, new laws and regulations impacting work, and other information necessary to maintain teammates' knowledge of department processes and goals.
  • Ensures mandatory in-services and annual competencies are completed as required.
  • Maintains and communicates facility emergency management programs and ability to act swiftly, confidently in an emergency.
  • Knows, understands, follows, and implements Spero Health safety and security policies and procedures.

Other Duties may include but may not be limited:

  • Participation research study(ies) under the guidance of Spero Health Clinical Research. Any clinical or administrative duty required by the study protocol, which is provided during the course of a patient's treatment, is considered an essential duty of the job.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in related area strongly preferred. Certified Radiology Administrator is preferred.

Experience: 5 years' experience managing radiology operations

Knowledge: Consistently model AIDET principles, service excellence and service recovery. Consistently demonstrate commitment to safe practices while abiding by all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

Skills: Basic computer skills including Email, Excel, Word and Power Point. Have the ability to comprehend and utilize
Electronic Medical Record System and PACS Systems. Use of Imaging equipment, contrast injectors and general office equipment. Ability to learn other systems applicable to Clinical operations.

Licensure/Certification: Board Certified RT in good standing with ARRT/ARDMS preferred. Current CPR certification required (or obtained within 60 days of hire).

Physical requirements: Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling

Conditions of employment: COVID Vaccination, CPR Certification, compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, radiation dosimeter badge and all required Personal Protective Equipment. Adherence to Mission, Vision and Values of DRI.
