Primary Purpose
This job monitors the company’s networks for security issues, install security software. Investigate, respond to and escalate security breaches or other cyber security incidents. Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and other cyber security risks.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring the company's Cyber Security systems (Endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, Email security, Web Filtering, Data Security, Vulnerability scanning, etc.) and computer networks for security breaches. Investigate, document and assess damage.
- Assist colleagues in installation of security software and better understanding of information security management. As an individual contributor it is essential to stay up-to-date on IT trends and security standards.
- Document security breaches and assess the damage caused. Create status reports on Cyber Security incidents and metrics.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management. Create incident remediation tickets and assign to colleagues to mitigate identified security vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability audits and penetration testing to identify security vulnerabilities and configuration concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years’ experience.
- 2 years’ Cyber Security experience or a related field.
- Microsoft Security Fundamentals, CompTIASecurity or EC CEH.
