Job Description:

• The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment under the plan of care of a licensed Physical Therapist as needed.
• This is performed to assist each patient reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
• This position is under the direction of the Therapy Services Director.

Education:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program Assistant Program

Experience:

•  May be a new graduate, but prefer one (1) to two (2) years of staff PTA experience.
• Desirable skills include proficiency in written and verbal communication, proficiency with computerized documentation, and the ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public.

Licenses/Certificates:

• Required: Current license or eligible for license in the State of New Mexico.
• Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required - Due by close on the last day of the month after one full month of work.
