Job Title: Fitness Class Instructor and /or Personal Trainer

Reports to: Director of Luxury Spa & Wellness

Status:Non-Exempt

Job Type: Part-time andFull-time, seasonal

Position Summary: Fitness Class Instructor provides the ultimate fitness class experience to Mountaintop members & guests by using their knowledge and expertise with a variety of class offerings. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities is to provide the ultimate fitness class experience to Mountaintop members & guests by using their knowledge and expertise with a variety of class offerings. 

• Personal and Group Fitness Classes.
• Prepare and clean up after each class.
• Ensure physical comfort of the room and guests by being attentive to details such as the temperature, music, sound, cleanliness of floors and work surfaces, roll towels and order of supplies before, during and after the sessions and/or class.
• Can demonstrate proper exercise form and give effective cueing to improve clients' technique.
• Be on time and keep all appointments.
• Be professional and courteous to members and trainers at all times.
• Return weights and other equipment.
• Engage with members/guests in the FC
• Fitness Class Instructors must maintain a flexible schedule and be able to work days, evening, weekends, and holidays when needed. The Spa Director will do everything possible to address schedule considerations with all Spa and Fitness team members to ensure quality of life and a schedule that accommodates members and guests.

Qualifications: 

• Must have a positive and motivating attitude. 
• Must be willing to work independently and with a team environment.

Education and Experience:

• Current Group Exercise Certification, Personal Trainer Certification
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• 2 years' experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit, stand, and exercise for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to move between indoor and outdoor locations throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs.
