Job Summary: The Transportation Modeler performs a variety of complex technical duties in the development, enhancements, and maintenance of the travel demand and land use models, and applies those models to develop future scenarios and projects that support MAG’s various planning efforts and programs.
Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $62,000 - $90,000, DOE. Includes a full benefits package of medical, dental, and vision insurance, Utah State Retirement, long-term disability, paid holidays, sick and annual time accrual, 401k contributions, and more
FLSA: Salary, Full-time, exempt
Schedule: Regular office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 6 pm. MAG offers a flexible/hybrid work schedule. Work schedules will be determined by the employee and their Supervisor and/or Department Manager and approved by their Supervisor.

Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Frequent travel will be required in this position. This is a salaried position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week.
Physical Requirements: This position requires sitting for long periods of time and performing computer-related work. The individual must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds. Occasionally drives a motor vehicle within the MAG counties

Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) is an association of governments focused on Informed Aging, Community Development, and Planning for Growth in Utah, Wasatch, and Summit County. MAG provides education, resources and services that empower aging adults and families to thrive at home and in our communities. Our focus on Informed Aging allows us to link older adults with much needed help through services provided by MAG or through referral to sister agencies. Noteworthy services that MAG provides directly include Meals on Wheels, case management services, Medicare counseling, caregiver... education and support groups, as well as the HEAT energy assistance and Weatherization programs, just to name a few. MAGs community development role includes working with local communities by providing technical assistance, funding for various projects, small business loans, and other economic development resources. Planning for Growth in our region includes helping our communities to understand population and employment increases, transportation demands, and environmental and social impacts of growth. MAG is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Utah County and the Rural Planning Organization (RPO) for Wasatch County.
