Mountain View Medical Center is a private, family owned medical office whose sole mission is providing hope while serving and improving the health of our community and families in Washington County, Oregon. We are seeking a team member that is passionate about providing service that delights patients and providers while supporting, encouraging, and educating a team to do the same.

We are seeking to add a Medical Scribe to our Team

The ideal candidate will:

• Be PreMed/PrePA, post-college students taking a year off during application process for medical or PA school
• A firm grasp of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, and typing skills
• Although not required, a medical terminology/basic anatomy/physiology course is helpful

What you can expect:

• On the job training from current Scribe
• Spend your day with a busy Primary Care Physician charting all office visit notes
• Learn how doctors think while improving your active listening skills
• Gain experience in a role that has seen 8 previous scribes matriculate to graduate school
• Get vital work experience in the Healthcare field – you will learn to document problems and medications, set up referrals, and place tests and orders under direct physician supervision
• Work inside an active Tier 5 Patient Centered Primary Care Home that allows you to be a part of important work to improve our community’s health
• Work with a patient, kind, hard-working physician who enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation in Healthcare
• Experience being a part of a highly functional healthcare team focused on improving community health
• An opportunity to improve your computer skills and typing
• Work M-TH. Alternate between Forest Grove and Hillsboro clinic locations.

Interviews beginning first of June, training to begin end of June/first of July.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
